This art moderne home is undergoing renovation by a local interior designer and engineer couple. The owners, seeking like-minded moderne aesthetes, created two lots behind this home for future development. Complicated by a fixed entry point required by codes for safe vehicular ingress/egress, the entry to this home had to stand alone, while also connecting to the enclave behind. Isaac also felt it critical that the approach to the home center on the front door, a Hope's metal and glass work of art. The strong horizontal lines and wide lot also presented an opportunity to present it with an appropriately scaled and refined arrival court. Design is ongoing for the rear of the home and the rest of the development.
