Tuskegee University is the only college/university in the country designated by Congress as a National Historic Site. This project consisted of a campus security master plan, the design of several entry monuments/gates, associated walks and paths, and a "millennial plaza." Isaac helped inventory the extant fencing, analyze the entirety of security, develop a masterplan, and produced construction documents related to these program elements. Great care was taken to honor the historic nature of the site to integrate the new design elements within the context of the greater campus goals/objectives and established architectural vocabularies. The end result re-established the University's identity and presence within the community and among the other Alabama institutions of higher learning, while providing a more secure campus.
The project completed while a Project Manager at Hodgson & Douglas, LLC.
